HUMASFKIPINFO – Pekanbaru, June 17, 2026 – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Universitas Riau established a partnership with the Pekanbaru City Library and Archives Office through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) during the Literacy Festival held at the courtyard of the Pekanbaru City Library and Archives Office on Jalan Sutomo, Pekanbaru. This collaboration aims to strengthen the synergy between higher education institutions and local government in promoting literacy culture within the community.
On this occasion, the Dean of FKIP Universitas Riau, Prof. Dr. Jimmi Copriady, M.Si., was represented by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Cooperation, and Alumni, Dr. Ria Novianti, S.Psi., M.Pd., who signed the cooperation agreement with the Pekanbaru City Library and Archives Office, led by Drs. H. Muhammad Amin, M.Si., Head of the Pekanbaru City Library and Archives Office. This agreement marks a strategic step toward strengthening collaboration between the two institutions in the fields of education, literacy, and community engagement.
Through this partnership, various collaborative programs are expected to be implemented, particularly those aimed at enhancing community literacy through the utilization of the works, innovations, and community service outcomes of FKIP Universitas Riau lecturers and students. These programs are expected not only to expand access to literacy but also to provide tangible benefits to the community through the direct implementation of educational activities.
The collaboration between FKIP Universitas Riau and the Pekanbaru City Library and Archives Office is expected to become the foundation for sustainable synergy in promoting literacy culture while strengthening the contribution of higher education institutions to the development of competitive and high-quality human resources.
