HUMASFKIPINFO – Karawang, June 18, 2026 – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Universitas Riau participated in the 2026 Interim Meeting of the Western Indonesia State Universities Association (BKS-PTN Barat) in the field of Education, held at Singaperbangsa University of Karawang (UNSIKA), West Java. The event, which took place from June 17–20, 2026, served as a strategic forum for deans and educational faculty leaders from state universities across western Indonesia to strengthen collaboration, share best practices, and discuss various strategic issues in higher education.
FKIP Universitas Riau was represented by the Dean of FKIP, Prof. Dr. Jimmi Copriady, M.Si., accompanied by the Vice Dean for General Affairs and Finance, Dr. Mahmud Alpusari, M.Pd. Their participation in this forum reflects the faculty’s commitment to strengthening inter-institutional cooperation networks and contributing to the development of educational policies and innovations at both regional and national levels.
The series of activities during the 2026 Interim Meeting of the BKS-PTN Barat Education Forum included working meetings, deans’ discussion forums, international seminars, and various academic sessions addressing strategic educational issues. One of the main events was an international seminar entitled “Sustainable Teacher Development and Cross-Cultural Literacy: Navigating Future Pedagogies in a Changing Era.” The seminar featured speakers from both Indonesia and abroad who discussed the development of Teacher Professional Education (PPG), cross-cultural literacy, and educational challenges in the global era.
In addition to serving as a platform for exchanging ideas and experiences, the event also became an important opportunity to strengthen synergy among BKS-PTN Barat members in improving the quality of education, research, and community service. The strategic recommendations generated during the forum are expected to make meaningful contributions to the advancement of higher education in Indonesia.
Through its participation in the 2026 Interim Meeting of the BKS-PTN Barat Education Forum, FKIP Universitas Riau continues to strengthen its role as an adaptive, collaborative, and quality-oriented educational institution. The event also opens broader opportunities for cooperation in supporting the implementation of the tridharma of higher education and enhancing student achievement in the future.
