HUMASFKIPUNRI INFO - Pekanbaru, September 15, 2025 — The 16th International Conference on Lesson Study (ICLS) 2025 continued with a Gala Dinner, held on Monday evening at the official residence of the Mayor of Pekanbaru. The event served as a key moment to warmly welcome international guests and participants from various countries.
The program featured remarks from several educational and government leaders, including Yuana Nurulita, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., Vice Rector II of Universitas Riau; Arif Hidayat, Ph.D.Ed., President of ALSI; and H. Agung Nugroho, S.E., M.M., Mayor of Pekanbaru.
In his address, the Mayor of Pekanbaru highlighted the importance of implementing Lesson Study in schools. “Lesson Study is an important approach that can be adopted and developed in Pekanbaru. We hope this activity will make a meaningful contribution to improving the quality of education,” he stated.
Meanwhile, ALSI President Arif Hidayat emphasized two fundamental principles of Lesson Study. “Open the classroom, because a classroom belongs to the public,” he asserted, underlining that openness is the foundation for building collaboration, reflection, and continuous improvement in teaching and learning.
The evening concluded with a group photo session and musical entertainment, adding warmth to the atmosphere. The Gala Dinner not only provided a space for fellowship but also strengthened international ties and fostered a spirit of collaboration in transforming education in the digital era.
