HUMASFKIPINFO – Pekanbaru, December 3, 2025 — FKIP Universitas Riau and the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) held a cooperation agreement signing ceremony at the BRIN Auditorium, South Jakarta, on Wednesday, December 3, 2025. The event was attended by the Dean of FKIP UNRI, Prof. Dr. Jimmi Copriady, M.Si, accompanied by Professor of Indonesian Language and Literature Education, Prof. M. Nur Mustafa, M.Pd, the Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Collaboration, Dr. Ria Novianti, M.Pd, and the Head of the Department of Language and Arts Education, Dr. Charlina, M.Hum. Also present were the Head of the BRIN Research Center for Language, Literature, and Communities, along with researchers from various cultural fields.
During the event, the Dean of FKIP UNRI also served as a keynote speaker in a webinar titled “Riau Malay Language Research: Exploring Potential and Addressing Educational Needs.” He emphasized FKIP UNRI’s active role in preserving Riau Malay culture through capacity building, curriculum strengthening, and sustainable research collaboration to establish a centre of excellence.
BRIN researcher Dr. Fatmawati Adnan highlighted the importance of ensuring that research in language and culture does not end merely as reports or publications, but must be translated into real actions to preserve cultural heritage. Looking ahead, collaboration between FKIP UNRI and BRIN will continue to expand—not only in research and publications but also through internship opportunities for FKIP students at BRIN, visiting lecturer programs, and other strategic initiatives.
