HUMASFKIPINFO — Pekanbaru, May 7, 2026 — The election process for the next Rector of Universitas Riau (UNRI) has entered a crucial stage. The Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Prof. Dr. Jimmi Copriady, M.Si., officially demonstrated his readiness to contribute to the university’s future by submitting his candidacy documents for the Rector Election for the 2026–2030 period.
The submission was carried out at the Secretariat Office of the Rector Election Committee of Universitas Riau. Prof. Jimmi was welcomed directly by the Chair of the Election Committee, Dr. H. M. Rasuli, S.E., M.Si., Ak., CA., ACPA, and the Secretary of the Committee, Prof. Dr. Dewi Fortuna Ayu, S.TP., M.Si.
This step officially marks the participation of Prof. Dr. Jimmi Copriady, M.Si. in the rectorial election process. As an academic with extensive experience in faculty and institutional development, his candidacy brings a vision of strengthening transparent, innovative, and globally competitive university governance.
The Chair of the Election Committee, Dr. H. M. Rasuli, stated that all submitted documents would undergo an administrative verification process in accordance with the established regulations and procedures. He also appreciated the participation of the university’s best figures who are prepared to compete fairly for the advancement of the institution.
The candidacy of Prof. Dr. Jimmi Copriady, M.Si. has received strong support from the FKIP UNRI academic community.
