HUMASFKIPUNRI INFO - Pekanbaru, September 26, 2025 — The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Riau (FKIP UNRI), held a send-off ceremony for students participating in the International Teaching Practicum Program (PLP Internasional) on Friday, September 26, 2025, at the FKIP Dean’s Building. This initiative reflects FKIP UNRI’s commitment to providing international exposure for students as preparation to enhance their knowledge, skills, and professional teaching competencies.

The six students selected for the program are Desi Dwi Syapriani Putri, Masayu Dara Fattarani, Raja Addin Alghufron, Asyifa Putri Adinda, Dina Fadilla Siregar, and Nabila Rasya. They will conduct their international practicum at Taska ANNA Prot Discon and Sekolah Menengah Maahad Tahfiz As-Sa’idiyyah in Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia.

Under the supervision of Zufriady, S.Sn., M.Pd., the students were officially released by FKIP Dean, Prof. Dr. Jimmi Copriady, M.Si., accompanied by Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Roza Linda, M.Si., along with program coordinators. In his remarks, the FKIP leadership advised the students to uphold the university’s reputation, adapt to new environments, and make the most of this international opportunity to broaden their perspectives and professionalism.

The International PLP Program runs from September 22 to October 25, 2025. Over the course of more than a month, the students will engage in a range of educational activities, including classroom teaching and self-development programs, gaining direct experience at international partner schools.

Through this initiative, FKIP Universitas Riau reaffirms its commitment to advancing the internationalization of education while preparing graduates who are ready to compete at both regional and global levels. The program is expected to serve as a bridge for students to expand their horizons, sharpen their competencies, and enhance their professional teaching skills in an international context.
