HUMASFKIPUNRI INFO - Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Riau is starting 2025 with a strong commitment to implementing an Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based humanitarian project at Refugees Corner, the result of collaboration with UNHCR. As a form of support for the Independent Learning Campus (MBKM) activities initiated by FKIP UNRI, UNHCR provided assistance with facilities in the form of work desks, TVs, cupboards, sofas, computers and other equipment.
This assistance was officially handed over on Thursday, January 2 2025, and received directly by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Cooperation and Alumni, FKIP, Dr. Ria Novianti, S.Psi., M.Pd, and Chair of MBKM FKIP, Otang Kurniaman, M.Pd. The addition of these facilities aims to support various MBKM programs, especially in facilitating the implementation of humanitarian projects involving students, lecturers and refugee communities.
Refugees Corner is a strategic step for FKIP Universitas Riau to contribute to global issues, including education management and skills development for refugees. It is hoped that this collaboration will be able to create an inclusive learning environment while strengthening the role of FKIP UNRI in integrating human values ​​into academic activities.
