HUMASFKIPUNRI INFO - Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Riau (FKIP UNRI) collaborates with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) by launching a classroom learning program for refugees. This program aims to provide educational opportunities to refugees from Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Rohingya from Myanmar. This activity, which started in November 2023, involved 7 participants, namely Azimullah Korimullah, Mustafa Ali, Ayat Ullah, Homaira Ali, Narges Ali, Noor Shekillah Bint Mohammad Yamin, and Ali Aqa Safarzada.
In this program, refugee participants get access to study various subjects, ranging from Counseling Psychology, Public Speaking, African History, Monetary Economics, to Basic Physics. With this program, it is hoped that refugees will be able to acquire new skills that will be useful for their future lives.
This collaboration between FKIP UNRI and UNHCR is a positive step in providing educational support and learning opportunities to vulnerable groups such as refugees, as well as strengthening international relations and humanitarian solidarity.
