HUMASFKIPINFO – Pekanbaru, Friday, November 28, 2025 — The PMIPA Department of FKIP Universitas Riau held a Training and Introduction to the Merdeka Curriculum (Deep Learning) and the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Learning for teachers in XIII Koto Kampar District. The activity, conducted at SMA Negeri 1 XIII Koto Kampar, was attended by 40 teachers from junior high schools, senior high schools, and vocational schools.
The event was officially opened by the Head of the PMIPA Department, Dr. Fakhruddin Z, S.Si., M.T., accompanied by the Department Secretary and the Coordinators of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Study Programs of PMIPA FKIP UNRI. Also present was the Principal of SMA Negeri 1 XIII Koto Kampar, Romawati, M.Pd., who expressed full support for the program.
The training aimed to enhance teachers’ understanding of the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum—particularly the Deep Learning approach—while introducing the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in classroom learning. Teachers are expected to become more adaptive to technological advancements and able to apply them effectively in teaching practice.
Through this activity, teachers in XIII Koto Kampar District are expected to be better prepared for the challenges of 21st-century education and capable of creating innovative, effective, and student-centered learning experiences.
