HUMASFKIPUNRI INFO – Pekanbaru, November 4, 2025 — The Public Education Study Program, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Riau successfully held a Stadium General themed “The Identity of Public Education: Opportunities and Challenges” on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at the Kampar Integrated Classroom. The event aimed to deepen students’ understanding of the roles, prospects, and challenges of public education in an era of rapid social change.

The event was officially opened by the Dean of FKIP Universitas Riau, Prof. Dr. Jimmi Copriady, M.Si, who conveyed his appreciation for the initiative. In his remarks, he expressed hope that the Stadium General would not only broaden academic insight but also strengthen the commitment of the study program in advancing the quality of public education in the future.

Dr. H. Elih Sudiapermana, M.Pd, Associate Professor from the Faculty of Education (FIP) Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), served as the keynote speaker. He presented a comprehensive discourse on the opportunities and challenges encountered by public education in Indonesia, emphasizing the need for adaptability and responsiveness to evolving societal needs.

The Chair of the Organizing Committee, Rahmat Fahmi, M.Pd, stated,

“This Stadium General enriches our understanding of public education while strengthening the bonds between lecturers, students, and experts in the field. The signing of a collaboration agreement with UPI is a strategic step to support the academic development of our study program.”

Coordinator of the Public Education Study Program, Dr. Eddy Noviana, M.Pd, added that the activity also supports efforts to improve the program’s Key Performance Indicators (IKU).

“Through this collaboration, we hope that the Public Education Study Program will continue to grow and contribute significantly to the development of public education in Indonesia.”

The event marked an important milestone in enriching academic discourse and strengthening institutional networks for educational development.
