HUMASFKIPINFO – Pekanbaru, January 23, 2026 — In preparation for the implementation of the 2026 Teacher Professional Education Program (PPG) for Prospective Teachers, the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Riau, as an authorized Teacher Education Institution (LPTK), conducted a briefing for lecturers, mentor teachers, and Learning Management System (LMS) administrators, along with the signing of cooperation agreements with partner schools. This activity was organized as part of the preparation for PPG lectures and as a socialization of the latest policies and regulations.

The event began with remarks from the Dean of FKIP Universitas Riau, Prof. Dr. Jimmi Copriady, M.Si., followed by remarks and the official opening by the Rector of Universitas Riau, represented by the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mexsasai Indra, S.H., M.H.

Subsequently, the Head of the PPG Study Program of FKIP Universitas Riau, Dr. Elfis Suanto, M.Si., presented the 2026 PPG Curriculum Policy, which serves as the foundation for the implementation of the PPG program for prospective teachers.

The activity continued with a presentation on the preparation and implementation of the Semester Learning Plan (RPS) in the PPG Program by Dra. Mariani Natalina Linggasari, M.Pd., which strengthened participants’ understanding of learning planning and implementation within the PPG program.

The next session featured a presentation on the Guidelines for the Implementation of Teaching Practicum (PPL) for lecturers and mentor teachers, delivered by Dr. Otang Kurniaman, M.Pd., and Dra. Herdini, M.Si., aimed at strengthening synergy and readiness in the execution of field teaching practice.

Furthermore, a presentation on the PPG LMS Guidelines: The Roles of Lecturers, Mentor Teachers, and LMS Administrators was delivered by Sahlan, M.Pd., as an effort to ensure the optimal and integrated use of the LMS in supporting the PPG learning process.

Through this series of briefing activities, it is expected that all lecturers, mentor teachers, and LMS administrators will have a shared understanding of the policies, curriculum, and implementation mechanisms of the 2026 PPG Program, thereby supporting the delivery of an effective, well-coordinated, and high-quality PPG program.
