HUMASFKIPUNRI INFO - Bukit Batu, August 29, 2025 — To enhance the quality of learning oriented toward developing critical and in-depth thinking, the Biology Education Study Program of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Riau (FKIP UNRI), organized a Workshop on the Implementation of Deep Learning in Teaching on August 29–30, 2025. The event was held at SMAN 1 Bukit Batu, Bengkalis Regency.
The workshop was officially opened by the Head of the Biology Education Study Program, Mr. Darmadi, S.Pd., M.Si., who highlighted in his remarks that deep learning is an approach that encourages students not only to memorize but also to understand, analyze, and develop higher-order thinking skills.
Over the two days, participants received both theoretical insights and hands-on practice in applying deep learning strategies across various subjects. The workshop aimed to strengthen teachers’ capacity to create learning environments that are more meaningful, interactive, and innovative.
Through this program, FKIP Universitas Riau reaffirms its commitment to supporting teacher and educator competency development, while also reinforcing the role of education in shaping a generation that is critical, creative, and adaptive to the demands of the times.
