HUMASFKIPINFO – Pekanbaru, November 29, 2025 — The Guidance and Counseling (BK) Study Program of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Riau, reaffirmed its commitment to the Tri Dharma of Higher Education through the implementation of “Community Counseling and Outbound (KOMANDO) 2025.” The two-day program, held on November 29–30, 2025, featured a series of comprehensive community service activities for residents of Teluk Kenidai.

The program was led by the Coordinator of the BK Study Program, Dr. Non Syafriadi, S.Pd., M.Pd., supported by 16 lecturers, 129 students, and 28 committee members from HIMA BIKONS. In total, 173 participants were involved in activities focusing on educational, social, environmental, and character development aspects.

The first day began with a Parenting Seminar attended by local residents and Posyandu cadres. The session centered on positive parenting and strategies for building healthy parent–child relationships, providing participants with practical approaches applicable to daily life.

Following the seminar, the BK team continued activities at SMP Negeri Satu Atap Teluk Kenidai by delivering Behavior Modification and Career Guidance services to students. Environmental action was also carried out through the planting of 1,000 fruit tree seedlings, aimed at supporting environmental sustainability and promoting economic empowerment.

The program received positive feedback from the community. The Chair of the TP PKK Teluk Kenidai, Hj. Yena Erita, expressed that the activity aligned well with local efforts to improve community welfare. The Principal of SMPN Satap Teluk Kenidai also shared appreciation:
“We are very proud to welcome a major institution like UNRI. This brings new motivation and encouragement for our students.”
