HUMASFKIPINFO – Pekanbaru, December 1, 2025 — The Early Childhood Teacher Education Study Program (PG PAUD) of FKIP Universitas Riau held a Public Lecture titled “Deep Learning for Early Childhood Education: Concepts and Practices.” The event took place at the Kampar Theater Room, Integrated Classroom Building, Universitas Riau.
The program was officially opened by the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of FKIP Universitas Riau, Prof. Dr. Roza Linda, M.Si, who emphasized the importance of applying deep learning approaches to enhance the quality of early childhood education, particularly in the context of 21st-century literacy and competencies.
The main lecture was delivered by Ngelbertus Ngalu Bali, S.Pd., M.Pd, a lecturer from the University of Nusa Cendana. In his presentation titled “Transforming Quality Early Childhood Education through Deep Learning Approaches: Concepts and Practices,” he explained how deep learning supports young children in building meaningful understanding, reflective thinking skills, and early problem-solving abilities.
The public lecture was attended by lecturers, students, and early childhood education practitioners who participated enthusiastically throughout the session. Through this activity, PG PAUD FKIP Universitas Riau aims to broaden perspectives and strengthen the competencies of prospective early childhood educators in implementing deep learning creatively and effectively in the field.
