HUMASFKIPINFO – Pekanbaru, January 24, 2026 — The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Riau today organized the Greenmech 2026 Riau Regional Competition, held at the UNRI Rumbai Campus, Pekanbaru. This activity represents a strategic collaboration between the Undergraduate Program in Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD), the Master’s Program in Primary Education, and the Doctoral Program in Education at FKIP UNRI, in partnership with Rumah Edukasi as the implementing partner.

The Greenmech 2026 Regional Competition serves as a platform for developing participants’ creativity, innovation, and critical thinking skills in the fields of environmentally friendly technology and education. Through this competition, participants are encouraged to integrate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) concepts with environmental sustainability values, in line with the challenges of 21st-century education.

The event was officially opened by the Dean of FKIP UNRI, represented by the Vice Dean II of FKIP UNRI, Dr. Mahmud Alpusari, M.Pd. In his remarks, he expressed appreciation for the implementation of this collaborative activity and emphasized the importance of synergy between higher education institutions and educational partners in creating an innovative and competitive learning ecosystem.

“This competition is not only a platform for participants to showcase their abilities, but also a form of contextual learning that strengthens character, creativity, and awareness of environmental issues,” he stated.

Through cross-level involvement of academic programs—undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral—this activity is expected to strengthen academic culture, applied research, and community service within FKIP UNRI. Furthermore, the collaboration with Rumah Edukasi represents a concrete step in expanding networks and increasing the positive impact of educational activities at the regional level.
