HUMASFKIPUNRI INFO - Pekanbaru, 2025 — Universitas Riau once again made history by graduating 251 participants of the Teacher Professional Education (PPG) Program, Cohort II of 2025. The Yudisium and Teacher’s Professional Oath Ceremony was held solemnly at the Universitas Riau Student Center.
A total of 251 graduates officially took their professional oath, marking the beginning of their service as professional educators. The graduates came from various fields of study:
Economics Education: 69 graduates
Mathematics Education: 2 graduates
Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD): 96 graduates
Physical Education and Health: 42 graduates
Civic Education: 21 graduates
History Education: 21 graduates
In his remarks, Dean of FKIP Universitas Riau, Prof. Dr. Jimmi Copriady, M.Si., emphasized that graduating from PPG is not only an academic achievement but also the first step in facing the challenges of education in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
“Teachers are not only educators, but also character-builders of a superior, resilient, and globally competitive generation,” he stated.
Similarly, Vice Rector for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mexsasai Indra, S.H., M.H., underlined that PPG graduates are expected to apply the knowledge and skills they have acquired to advance Indonesian education and to respond to the ever-changing demands of the times.
With the completion of this yudisium and professional oath, Universitas Riau reaffirms its role as an institution consistently committed to producing professional educators dedicated to the nation’s progress.
