HUMASFKIPUNRI INFO - Pekanbaru, September 14, 2025 — The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Riau (FKIP UNRI), hosted the Doctoral Roundtable, marking the opening agenda of the 16th International Conference on Lesson Study (ICLS) 2025. The forum brought together doctoral researchers from universities at home and abroad, focusing on strengthening lesson study in the digital era.
The event was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Roza Linda, M.Si., Vice Dean I for Academic Affairs, and attended by Dr. Mahmud Alpusari, M.Pd., Vice Dean II for General Affairs and Finance. Their presence underscored the faculty’s concrete support for the advancement of research-based learning innovations.
Further direction was provided by Zetra Hainul Putra, Ph.D., Head of the Department of Education at FKIP UNRI, who highlighted the importance of international academic forums such as this as platforms for collaboration and strengthening research networks.
The program began with an update on Lesson and Learning Studies by Arif Hidayat, Ph.D.Ed., followed by three presentation sessions featuring speakers both onsite and online, representing institutions from Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, and the Netherlands. The interactive discussions generated a number of recommendations for building sustainable learning communities in the digital era.
The Doctoral Roundtable reaffirmed FKIP UNRI’s role in bridging global academic collaboration while strengthening Universitas Riau’s reputation as an educational institution committed to advancing knowledge and fostering learning innovation.
