HUMASFKIPUNRI INFO - Pekanbaru, September 26, 2025 — The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Universitas Riau (FKIP UNRI), conducted a preparatory briefing for the Computer-Based Written Examination (UTBK) of the Competency Test for participants of the Teacher Professional Education (PPG) Program for Specific Teachers, Period 3 of 2025. The event took place on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Ayola First Point Hotel, Pekanbaru, as a preparatory step before the exam scheduled for September 28 to October 1, 2025.

The program began with a report from Dr. Elfis Suanto, M.Si., Head of the PPG Program at FKIP UNRI, who stressed the importance of this briefing as a means to ensure participants’ readiness both technically and mentally. He noted that the competency test requires more than academic ability; it also demands comprehensive preparation in understanding the exam mechanism and maintaining professional conduct as future teachers.

Remarks were then delivered by Prof. Dr. Roza Linda, M.Si., Vice Dean for Academic Affairs of FKIP UNRI, representing the Dean, Prof. Dr. Jimmi Copriady, M.Si. In her address, she provided encouragement and emphasized the importance of adhering to exam rules and regulations. She highlighted that compliance is a crucial aspect of professional integrity, as teachers are expected to serve as role models in discipline and responsibility.

Also delivering remarks was Dr. Andi Hasriadi Hasyim, M.Pd., from Universitas Negeri Jakarta, serving as the central supervisor. He underlined that UTBK is not merely a technical tool to measure competence, but also a medium to cultivate wisdom and professionalism in facing challenges that may arise during the exam. According to him, wisdom and professionalism from all parties involved are key to ensuring the exam is conducted in an orderly, fair, and dignified manner.

The session continued with a technical briefing by the supervisor, who provided a thorough explanation of exam procedures, strategies for answering questions, and the ethical standards to be upheld during the UTBK. Participants were also given the opportunity to ask questions and engage in discussion, creating an interactive and constructive atmosphere.

Through this activity, FKIP Universitas Riau hopes that all PPG participants of Period 3 of 2025 will be able to approach the UTBK with thorough preparation, uphold discipline, comply with all regulations, and prioritize professionalism. In this way, it is expected that professional teachers will emerge who are not only excellent in academic competence but also embody integrity and wisdom in fulfilling their noble duty to educate the nation’s next generation.
